The Office of Unified Communications' (OUC) Information Technology division is responsible for managing internal systems and networks. The OUC also manages the District's Citywide Radio System. The system provides mission-critical communications for primary public safety agencies, like the Metropolitan Police Department and DC Fire and EMS, twenty-two other District government agencies, and several regional and federal partners. The network supports over 7,000 radios and over 10 million radio calls annually.
The OUC IT division manages several critical systems including, but not limited to:

- 311 Telephony
- Radio Systems
- 911 Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)
- Fire Station Alerting System (FSAS)
- Mobile Data Computers (MDC)
